THE BLUE ECONOMY

The Hyperion plant spilled 17 million gallons of sewage into our ocean. The City paid a fine but hasn't fixed the root cause. I will commission an independent audit of Hyperion's storm readiness, fast-track water recycling so every gallon gets reused instead of dumped, and push to triple fines for illegal industrial dumping in the Coastal Zone.

THE GOOD NEIGHBOR CONTRACT

Planes are supposed to fly over the ocean at night, but they cut corners over homes to save fuel. I will demand zero-tolerance enforcement / maximum noise penalty every time. When Santa Monica Airport closes in 2028, I am 100% Great Park. No luxury condos. Green space, sports fields, and trees.

Restoration Without Destruction

We've spent 20 years fighting over the "perfect" restoration plan while the land sits fenced off. Let's build the walking trails and bike paths now and give the public access today. I support removing invasive plants and cleaning the creek, but I'm skeptical of any plan that requires massive excavation near our homes.

BORDER DEFENSE

Ladera is overrun by commuters using it as a shortcut to LAX. I will install traffic calming to keep through-traffic on La Cienega. Marina del Rey is "County land" but the hazards don't respect jurisdictional lines. I will pursue a mutual aid agreement with the Sheriff so a fire in a Marina encampment doesn't burn D11 homes.

District 11 is ground zero for the 2028 Olympic Games - Venice, Riviera, UCLA, SoFi.

I will implement a Resident Passport so locals get waved through traffic perimeters while tourists are turned around. I will not approve any Olympic traffic plan that can't guarantee sub-5-minute emergency response to every home in D11. If the fire truck can't move, the event doesn't start.
